Lucid Enterprises LLC Yearly Update 2025:
Hello this is Luke D. Edwards with Lucid Enterprises LLC sending out our yearly update message to all lawn-care clients from last lawn-care season, seasons prior, and clients already with jobs scheduled for Lawn-Care Season 2025.
This update is a long one and includes important information that we hope will better build our relationship with our clients because as always feedback, advice, and constructive criticism is welcomed, appreciated, and considered before applying these changes to our Website lucidenterprisesllc.org on our Lawn-Care page in a way that will be able to be used and easily understood by other Lawn-Care companies especially ones just beginning as well as clients and potential clients of other Lawn-Care companies to better Lawn-Care as a whole and positively influence our economy in a way that furthers education and cooperation where there otherwise would not be,
We are excited to begin this lawn-care season and improve upon everything from last season.
I am excited for the future.
We have been doing everything we can to prepare for and make it possible all throughout The Education Season since the last day of Lawn-Care Season 2024 October 31st.
As many might already know, last Lawn-Care Season I faced many challenges and tragedies and at the end of the season I suffered a broken leg and required surgery as well as a lengthy recovery period however I have made substantial progress with my recovery and will be ready to complete jobs starting April 1st 2025, the first day of Lawn-Care Season 2025! Overcoming adversity, challenges, and tragedies in ways making ourselves and those we interact with better and able to continue through them and onto another adventure is what I mean and describe as fighting evil when I say that describing what I do and help others to do in my writings and works published and available free to read on lucidenterprisesllc.org on various pages with the majority of my published works available on the Lucid Blog page but be warned much of the content matter is extremely mature and deals with serious topics and events from real life as everything is incorporated into narrative and left up to whoever reads it or experiences it to decide for themselves what they believe,
With Lawn-Care now as the main focus,
We have decided to continue with the ‘experimentation’ of our protocols for pricing based upon measured data as specific measurements and reasons for them relating to the Job-Cost as certain Job-Types such as Leaf Clean-Up Jobs have been difficult to have data recorded from Job-Sites that can be applied to different Job-Sites that can accurately be used to calculate how long the job will take to be completed and the data translated to equipment cost and use with accuracy or consistency, typically we have been using the half-day estimated completion time price of $80 or the full day estimated completion time price of $160 and then add the other specifically defined costs such as Trip-Out Cost which is $2 per mile away from 105 Davis Street Shavertown PA, and costs like Haul-Away Cost if haul-away of leaves or clean-fill material able to be transported via 42 Gallon Contractor Garbage Bags for $1 per garbage bag used and the same price as Haul-Away Cost applied for every trip required,
We observe the job-site and decide if we can complete the Job in under four hours and The Half-Day Price $80 is applied or if the job will take over 4 hours and the Full Day Price $160 is applied,
typically if we think it is somewhere close between a Half Day and Full-Day we will charge $100 and schedule the job for a Full Day with both Job-Slots reserved for it and the Set-Price will be that plus any previously explained costs.,
If it takes us longer than that will not not charge more, we will usually take our time to complete any jobs and often work longer than estimated for a job to be completed,
if for any reason a job is required to be completed by a specific time or date then let us know,
We’ve been kinda using the same method for agreeing upon Set-Prices for Grass-Cuts and usually are going to be $20, $40, $60, $80, $120, or $160 and while prices are not specifically set according to measured data of the Job-Site, $0.01 1 square foot worked better for longer than I thought it would and still offers a decent place to start when estimating costs,
we will still provide you with the measured square footage of cut-areas free of charge which can be compared to the Set-Price and other data provided to help facilitate considerations of our policies, pricing methods, and protocols as they are articulated.
We usually try to have the Set-Price agreed upon before the Job is begun and after the Set-Price is agreed upon,
I will not increase The Set-Price for any reason once it is agreed to be something,
If I explain something wrong or say something incorrectly during verbal negotiations I will correct it during text message communications that follow,
I will usually send a text message after everything is agreed to defining the Set-Price and other things,
Please use the text message communications as a way to refer to agreements and as a way to ask for further explanation as with most things what is articulated verbally can usually be articulated more through written language than the way it was articulated verbally,
underestimation of time needed for job completion and equipment use needed is my responsibility,
also while never increased I may decrease the Set-Price for clients before payment is made preferably upon completion of the job,
Sometimes I might do that without explanation as the reasonings might be complicated and if a mistake is made by me that leads to a set-price being lowered then it is ok because it is my responsibility and not one that someone else would be expected to correct if thought of,
payments made before the job is started or during completion will be taken if needed but are subject to be returned partially according to how much The Set-Price is reduced by Job Completion.
if I estimate the job taking two full days and complete it in one I will only charge for one and number of trips expected for haul away and 42 Gallon Contractor Garbage Bags Required will be over estimated for The Set-Price given before Job is started and then verified with Job-Shots including every 42 Gallon Contractor Garbage Bag used as well as each load as it is loaded before haul away that will demonstrate the amount that the Set-Price will be lowered by verifying the reduced amount of 42 Gallon Contractor Garbage Bags Used and Haul-Away Trips Taken so that the lowered Set-Price is understood before payment is made,
if somehow more is used than estimated you will not be charged more as the Set-Price will not be increased once set, otherwise it will be kept track of and just be added to the initial set-price after job completion because this described scenario is for one in which for whatever reason payment would be unable to be received or given after job completion,
This season we are continuing our use of Job-Shots, before and after pictures of every job-site for every job we complete that will be sent to you utilizing text messaging or email if preferred as well as a picture of the data collected by our Lucid-Tracker which monitors and records the collected data of the heart-rate, calories burned, and movements tracked by satellite gps and visually drawn on a topographical map of the Job-Site included within the picture,
here is an example from a workout I completed as an evaluation and test of equipment used,
also the data recorded and stored on our Job-Sheets including total time of each job completed including breakdowns of how long different parts of the job take at that specific Job-Site, as well as the recorded calories burned, distance covered,
gas used accordingly to full tanks emptied by each specific machine used, as well as other specifics recorded that vary depending upon Job-Type such as 42 Gallon Contractor Garbage Bags Used can be requested because sometimes it is not processed completely until later,
Haul Away Trips Taken, Trimmer Spools Used, and other equipment used such as shovels, edgers, mechanical tools, chainsaw, trimmers, snippers, machete, bungees, barrels, and anything else we use while completing the job, there are no direct costs relating to or associated with this recorded information and is used by us mostly to keep track of how much tools are used to prevent overuse and where they are used so that they are chosen to be included with the equipment prepared for the job beforehand,
and so that they are not forgotten,
creating optimal space for potential haul-away and pick-up and movement of job-site supplies purchased from stores during the course of the completion of a job is something that we must consider when maintaining and preparing our vehicle for jobs so that the option for you to pay us to pick up supplies of any kind is available to you and costs equal $2 per mile away from Job-Site and the cost of supplies needed to be purchased and moved to the Job-Site where you would like it to be placed,
Simplified; price of what you want us to purchase and bring to the Job-Site plus $2 per mile away store is from job-site = Set-Price for purchase, pickup, and movement to specified location on Job-Site,
receipts for purchases made utilizing a preferred credit card you can give us to use and tell us to use that can be given then returned upon completion can be given as well,
Satellite GPS Movements Tracked via Lucid-Monitor will include distance and is turned on constantly throughout completion of job(As data has been lost because of loss of signal and from the app restarting due to errors, the data might be saved in increments with the Lucid-Monitor being turned off during times when resting such as lunch so that data could be saved correctly) remember to K.I.M. rest and play are components of efficient and effective work,
and when needed (for whatever specific reason) a backup Satellite GPS Location Tracker is used specifically for The Company Jeep and could also be provided upon request,
Job-Shots verifying pickup and successful movement to Job-Site Location will also be taken and provided.
Weekly and Bi-Weekly Grass-Cuts are not likely to begin for another two to three weeks (probably somtime in may) as the grass needs more time to grow before it’ll be ready to be cut for the first time this season,
I like to use my grass as a way to test when to cut before I say for certain others should be cut and as always I offer my recommendations for when you would like to agree to have me begin any weekly or bi-weekly grass-cuts as the client has the ability to make the final decision of whether the grass should be cut or not and won’t ever be asked to justify their decision as I’ve noticed some might not want to deal with anything that could be considered to be unintentionally or intentionally offensive or anything related to business conduct ‘missteps’ that might be a focus of some companies or the mindset of that in unnecessary situations,
usually just try to let me know a day before the job is scheduled or if raining or something similar the day the job is scheduled just let me know as early in the day as possible to skip it that week and it will be rescheduled on Friday for that week with the option to cancel and let it grow until it’s already next scheduled cut,
again in that situation day before is preferred to let me know but day of is also ok if you can early in the day,
if there are multiple jobs that are rescheduled during the week I will reschedule them in order that they are during the week with the ones rescheduled first scheduled for Black Friday and then Saturday and Sunday, with the notice that if a client cancels their Black-Friday Rescheduled Grass-Cut that I will call and ask if it is ok for me to cut your grass during the newly opened Job-Slot for the current day before the day you have your rescheduled grass-cut scheduled,
Fridays are referred to as Black Fridays because they normally are reserved for Black Group Clients(Clients who schedule One-Time and Monthly Recurring Grass-Cuts),
Weekly (Blue Group Clients) and Bi-Weekly (Red Group Clients) have their Grass-Cuts able to be scheduled in the AM Job-Slot or PM Job-Slot available daily Monday through Thursday,
One-Time Grass Cuts and Monthly Recurring Grass-Cuts scheduled by Black Group Clients are scheduled on Black Fridays typically but if there are reschedules of Red or Blue Group due to rain that need to be cut that week and cannot wait until the following week then the Red and Blue Group Clients will have their Grass-Cut rescheduled for Black Friday and the Black Group Clients will have their scheduled grass-cut rescheduled for the following day on White Saturday typically reserved for White Group Clients who schedule Hedge/Bush/Shrub Trimming Jobs,
When that happens we have Black Friday on White Saturday and if a White Group Client has a job scheduled on that White Saturday then it is rescheduled for the next day and we have two Black Fridays with one of them on White Saturday and a White Saturday on Sunday,
To prevent that from ever occurring I will call and schedule clients to have their grass-cuts completed earlier if there is time remaining before anything such as any enforced noise limits after certain hours would need to be considered in the day,
I try to use 7pm as a good time to start to finish up anything I’m doing if I’m working a job longer than expected to be safe,
usually I can work from dawn till dusk without issue utilizing engine operating equipment and could work past that utilizing hand tools if adequate light is available and I am not in violation of any local community enforced regulations that might restrict hired outdoor work from taking place during certain times even if silent,
Black and White Group Clients, as well as Green Group Clients (clients scheduling jobs that are not Grass-Cut Jobs or Hedge/Shrub/Bush Trimming Jobs), may schedule their jobs during days typically reserved for other Client Groups as long as there is availability and limited conflict with scheduling,
Jobs of any kind can and will be discussed and negotiated with any scheduled being for a Client now considered a Green Group Client),
Also I have been able to maintain and renew my license to carry firearms and conceal carry while I work to ensure the safety of myself, because as I work alone mostly with potential cash on hand and expensive equipment in vehicle as motivators of those who might seek to do harm onto others wherever I am to target me I conceal carry safely and eventually wherever I am or places I go become safer and I have my credentials printed out and available in a red folder kept in The Company Jeep including the FBI clearances and specific training clearances I needed to acquire to teach students and work with minors,
material relating to crisis management and mental health related credentials that I have available including ones related to community impacts of suicide and prevention of spread are ones I will put extra effort forth to gather and give to anyone who inquires or wants to discuss specific subject matter in relation to how it affects any kind of group or community further,
also understand that I am a mandated reporter as well,
Everything is directly related to each other,
Weekly, Bi-Weekly, and Monthly-Recurring grass-cut clients make sure to send a message back verifying your Set-Price kept from last year as well as what day and Job-Slot you would like to reserve or if you would like to be in a different Client-Group to change your Grass-Cut frequency to Weekly, Bi-Weekly, Monthly-Recurring or a One-Time that would be considered in reserve to be scheduled when wanted without anything recurring,
be sure to save this message for reference,
forward to as many as possible if you can and please spread the word about Lucid Enterprises LLC and feel free to contact me anytime to discuss any advice, input, recommendations, constructive criticism or discussion of anything covered,
thank you,
have a good day,
as many of my former students remember me saying at the end of each class each day,
and have a good one, what I decided to go with instead later on that I decided felt more original to say, something to say every time,
Be Lucid.

2026 Lawn-Care Client Update:
The 2026 Lawn-Care Season is underway!,
I’ll also be posting this message on my website as the 2026 Lawn-Care Client Update,
As a grass-cut client from last season I thought it would be to go over scheduling, a few other things and potential options for this Lawn-Care Season,
we could start you off in Black Group, the one-time and monthly grass-cut group, and you could just let me know anytime you want me to come over and cut it,
the groups are mostly helpful for planning out potential payments for budgets and for how we make adjustments to the schedule with each client,
Black Group is good for planning out a one-time payment that’d be somewhere within a few months budgeted out or for planning a payment for each budgeted month individually,
After a few scheduled One-Time Grass-Cuts we could discuss just scheduling Monthly Grass-Cuts where I would schedule it and just check in with you a day before it’s scheduled,
Monthly Grass-Cuts are scheduled on the same day each month usually on Black Fridays,
all Fridays are Black Fridays,
such as the first Friday of each month,
if we decide to move to monthly scheduling after a grass-cut on the second Tuesday of the month we could schedule it for the second Tuesday of every month or pick any specific day to schedule monthly,
If it’s scheduled for the first Friday of the month then it’ll be scheduled for the first Friday of the next month or any other specific day you’d like to be scheduled monthly,
that day then would be reserved monthly even if because of rain delays or any reason we rescheduled the last monthly scheduled grass-cut making it so that there would be less than a month between cuts,
That way because I check in with you the day before if it needs more time to grow we could just reschedule for anytime during the month and keep the same scheduled monthly day for the months after,
I also message the day before as a reminder and to see if there’s any schedule changes,
so moving from One-Time to Monthly you’d still be in Black Group and not too much would change for how we schedule,
later on in the season we could discuss moving you to Red or Blue Group,
The Bi-Weekly grass-cut groups,
We could also start you off in Red or Blue Group and you could just let me know what day you want your first grass-cut to be,
I would schedule and plan to cut your grass on a specific day of the week every other week and then let you know if I think we should skip it for that week if there’s any reason I see for us to, otherwise we’d cut that scheduled day unless you decide for any reason that we should skip that week first and let me know before,
as always if I think we should skip it that week we could always discuss cutting it anyways after I check in with you because I’ll check in with you first before deciding to skip it or not,
sometimes I might check in with you the day before a scheduled bi-weekly grass-cut but not every time like with monthly Black Group clients,
In case of rescheduling or delays throughout the season the same day of the week will still be reserved for your grass-cut for the season if we end up scheduling a grass-cut for you the same week but on a different day as your reserved day for any reason,
if during the prior two weeks we rescheduled your previous grass-cut from Monday to Thursday before it was completed and after it was completed you requested that your next grass-cut be two weeks from then and we were able to schedule it in an open Job-Slot on Thursday two weeks from the Thursday it was completed you would not need to cancel the scheduled grass-cut on your reserved day Monday as it would be automatically rescheduled to Thursday as the next grass-cut scheduled,
After the grass-cut scheduled that Thursday is completed I would notify you that your next scheduled grass-cut would be on the Monday your reserved day is which would be 11 days away because it would be scheduled in less days than the usual 14 days between bi-weekly grass-cuts,
Keeping your reserved day as the default next scheduled grass-cut helps make sure we are able to complete the job you want completed and make effective and efficient adjustments as we maintain communication throughout the season adjusting as needed,
all jobs scheduled if unable to be completed once started the day they are scheduled are automatically scheduled for the following day once it is known and clients are notified accordingly,
Grass-Cut Jobs rescheduled due to weather before being started are usually rescheduled for the Friday of that week or during the next open Job-Slot otherwise can be specified to be scheduled any specific day,
as we adjust from there throughout the season the timing of scheduling could vary for clients who would be in the same Client Group but the way we adjust remains consistent and specific to each Client Group,
like Red Group clients having their bi-weekly grass-cut scheduled during Blue Week,
They’d still be Red Group,
Jobs also could be scheduled to be completed during specific times with the specific start and end times detailed during negotiations,
Specific times for Job completion could also be done so in a more simplified way by reserving specific Job-Slots during specific Time-Slots such as the AM or PM Job-Slot with the specific start times of the reserved Job-Slot specified as needing to be followed for completion of the Job unless otherwise negotiated with an example being specifying that the start time of 8am of the AM Job-Slot being when presence at the Job-Site is required to complete the job,
Otherwise the reservation of a Job-Slot for a specific day reserves that day for the job to be completed and will have the job completed during anytime throughout the day so during the AM or PM Time-Slot or in-between,
Specific communications could always be requested to take place during completion of any job such as any regarding payment timing and I’ll communicate any additional reserved days I’m able to reserve after scheduling a job for after the day a job is scheduled for to allow for a later start time on the day of a scheduled day so that there is more of a guarantee that jobs started will be able to be completed,
an example would be if I sent a message before the day of a scheduled job saying ‘Hey I was able to reserve the next two days for the scheduled job to make sure that anything not completed the scheduled day that I’ll be able to finish during those ones’,
I’d still be beginning work on completing the job that scheduled day but it might be later in the day than usual, otherwise I would notify in advance that we’d have to reschedule if I wasn’t going to start during the scheduled day,
Red and Blue group being Bi-Weekly usually means there being around two cuts monthly to plan for but could vary depending on adjustments,
The difference between red and blue group is usually just what week out of the first two weeks we have bi-weekly grass-cuts scheduled on that correspond to weeks alternating one week being Blue Week and the next being Red Week,
I’ll let you know what group you’re in after scheduling the next grass-cut after moving from Black Group to Red or Blue Group if we decide to do that throughout the season or if we start you off in Red or Blue Group,
Also as always you could decide to move back to Black Group anytime throughout the season without worrying about causing any scheduling issues if you decide you’d like to go back to scheduling jobs like that,
Clients with Weekly Grass-Cuts are both Red and Blue Groups,
and if you’d like to schedule any other jobs you’ll be included in that corresponding jobs client group as well as your current grass-cut client group,
any jobs scheduled that are scheduled farther out or if they’re bigger jobs I’ll check in with you as we get closer to the scheduled date usually a day or few before,
Prices remain the same for this season so any job we completed last season for you we’ll be able to complete with the same set-price,
as always during scheduling I like to go over the set-prices and have a record of them and the scheduled date of the jobs via text message so that info is easy to find for both us and the client,
if we schedule anything and set a price via phone call I’ll send a text verification message after,
also we could always discuss adding additional jobs to be completed along with any scheduled jobs with already set-prices on the same day concurrently and I would itemize them individually with set-prices and include an overall set-price for everything total to be completed in my verification message the same way it would read on a receipt after deciding on anything like that to keep things simple,
like last season I’ll never raise the price for a job to be completed once we set a price but could lower it if for whatever reason it makes sense to,
asking for me to do the job better for it to be completed or for a few other things to be included that make sense to not be their own jobs is always ok and usually helps me improve what I’m doing because either you or me would articulate something about the job better negotiating anything like that,
sometimes I’m able to do more for the client than I expected I’d be able to even if I might not be able to every time it still provides me with good data comparing how I completed different tasks that I could use to improve things overall,
also I could provide receipts if requested when paying with cash, usually digital is easier and could be sent via email or a handwritten receipt could be provided,
credit card and other online payments should automatically get receipts,
Change for cash payments can be made on a limited basis and exact cash payments are performed,
when able to and appropriate ask before making payment if change can be made, Otherwise additional time to make an exact cash payment can be provided if change cannot be made,
time of payment is negotiated for the completion of each job individually and usually payment is preferred after the job has been completed but payments prior to job completion are acceptable,
also usually payment is preferred to be received the day of or the day after the job is completed and expected to be able to be made within a week or two week time period unless otherwise negotiated,
arrangements could be made for payments after longer time periods but would need to be negotiated more before and more specifically in order to prevent any issues or problems, Verifications for any more detailed or specific structured payment plans would be included in a verification message otherwise the normal ‘payment received’ verification message would be the only payment verification sent to clients relating to that, after a payment is received a ‘payment received’ verification message is sent to the client usually via text messaging but could also be sent via email or just told to them via phone call or in person as it is recorded via writing for our records that payment has been received when it is received,
If paid with cash, a receipt is not requested, and a record of sale or something similar with requested information is later on wanted for any reason we’d be able to find and send the information as we keep records of transactions for taxes and will include any additional payments over the set-price confirmed to be decided by the client to pay on their own additionally, like tips, in the recorded payment received, Intended additional payments made by clients will not need to be justified and won’t be requested to be explained by us other than if they were intended or not to make sure people don’t accidentally give us money they didn’t intend to,
Like if someone gives us $100 instead of the set-price of $10 we will always check to make sure they intended to give us $90 of additional payment and won’t request explanation other than that,
The specific Set-Price is also recorded separately so if anything or any information like that is wanted later on it can be provided individually, separately, or all together so don’t hesitate to ask,
If you have any questions or anything let me know and let me know whatever you decide,
Thank You,
Luke D. Edwards
