If you save someone being targeted to be killed by another and there is still danger of innocents being killed then it is most likely because of the actions of the person who was being targeted to be killed,

…Genie Monkey Paw Diagnoses,
A genie that has a wisher who also has a monkey paw,
the monkey paw could be used in conjunction with the genie to grant the same wish of the wisher,
the wisher could use the monkey paw to make a wish that the genie would also be granting, the genie could adapt the rules and conditions for how they grant wishes more than the monkey paw could because Monkey Paw’s are programmed when created to grant wishes according to specific rules and conditions that they cannot change,
The genie could then diagnose how the monkey paw attempts to grant wishes and articulate its rules and conditions clearly while also forcing it to grant the wish according to their own adapting rules and conditions to limit anything potentially bad from happening,
I’m not sure why they would do this next way of using the monkey paw along with the genie but they could have their wisher make a wish that the genie would grant and simultaneously have the genie using the monkey paw and making the same wish for their wisher,
one example being wishing for their wishers wish to be granted,
not sure what that would accomplish or the results and other interactions but that’d definitely be something they could do, an attempt to program a monkey paw to work the same way a good genie would while granting wishes, adapting, could be made and if for whatever reason monkey paws should just not be used in general this this experimental situation could be one where they could be so that someone who creates monkey paws could continue working creating monkey paws and improving how monkey paws are created as well as monkey paws themselves in a way that would still allow for the craft to improve, The wish used for testing could be one that would correct anything bad about a monkey paw being created or used,
