Ask everyone who talks to you about work, professionalism, work ethic, independence or anything about modeling what company policies and procedures of their company do they have access to that they could have as a hard copy, 

where and how those policies are kept, 

who authored those policies and are they copywrited meaning to be considered original artistic works, 

are they sourced to anything such as academic institutions, private or government agencies, 

and are there citations of any kind to anything located outside of company control or in other words owned by a separate entity, 

how much of it is your responsibility?, 

did they know or did they have to ask someone?, were they able to acquire them themselves or was permission from a different individual required?, 

ask them why, 

ask what incidents prompted company regards and how detailed the written account of their historically recorded incidents are required by policy to be and where you can access the standards used to quantify quality of detail and evaluation of detail necessity and the credentials of the standards author or citation and physical copy of the document with ownership held by entity separate from entity requiring its citation, 

then ask how these policies and procedures are influences in their life’s not specifically or in enough totality by their company, 

Be Lucid. 

Take control. 

Live. 

If unhappy with personal findings you can refine policies and procedures to more effectively and efficiently improve your satisfaction of their influences over your life, author new ones to replace them, author ones not yet written that have the potential to be, find preferable alternatives that you can articulate as being superior to the ones they are replacing or worth being used in conjunction with and given default to any contradictions in procedures,
