Job Scheduling
Scheduling of jobs for Clients is based upon the Job-Slots that are available on the date that the job is requested to be scheduled.
There are two Job-Slots each day.
The AM Job-Slot begins at 8:00 am and ends at 12:00 pm.
The PM Job-Slot begins at 1:00 pm and ends at 5:00 pm.
Just because a Job-Slot has been scheduled, that does not mean that those are the guaranteed hours during which the job will be completed sometimes exceptions will be made for the health and safety of everyone.
If a job is expected to take more than four hours, then both Job-Slots must be scheduled for the day otherwise scheduling conflicts may occur.
Jobs that require both Job-Slots in a day to be scheduled must have an estimated charge of at least $160 in order to be scheduled for that day, depending on availability.
If there is rain on the day of a scheduled job preventing the job from being completed, or if rainfall from the day prior to a scheduled job would prevent the job from being completed on the scheduled day, then the job will be rescheduled at the next available Job-Slot.
Job-Seasons
The Education Season begins during the second week of November (ES Week 1) and extends until the last week of March (ES Week 22).
During The Education Season, jobs of any kind are open for scheduling Monday through Saturday but must have an estimated charge over $160 in order to be considered over other available and ready to be scheduled Education Jobs that may be available for scheduling during The Education Season.
The Lawn-Care Season begins on the first week of April (LC Week 1) and extends until the end of the first week of November (LC Week 32).
During The Lawn-Care Season, all Job-Slots during the week from Monday through Thursday are reserved for Bi-Weekly Lawn-Care Clients. As always exceptions can be made depending on availability.
Clients are broken down into different Client-Groups in order to easily schedule and reschedule future jobs for clients.
A Bi-Weekly Lawn-Care Client is a client that pays for the grass on a property, Job-Site, to be cut on the same day every other week. They will be assigned to either Red Group or Blue Group.
Red Group Clients have their Bi-Weekly Recurring Grass-Cuts beginning on Week 1 of the Lawn-Care Season, LC Week 1. There are eight Job-Slots for Red Group Clients in Red-Week.
All odd-numbered Lawn-Care Season Weeks are Red-Week.
Currently, there are three available Job-Slots that can be reserved in Red-Week for the 2023 Lawn-Care Season. The PM Job-Slot on Tuesday in Red Week is available. The AM Job-Slot on Wednesday is available. The PM Job-Slot on Thursday in Red Week is available. Call now to reserve your Job-Slots.
(570)855-4641
Blue Group Clients have their Bi-Weekly Recurring Grass-Cuts beginning on Week 2 of the Lawn-Care Season, LC Week 2. There are eight Job-Slots for Blue Group Clients in Blue Week.
All even-numbered Lawn-Care Season Weeks are Blue-Week.
Currently, there are five available Job-Slots that can be reserved in Blue Week for the 2023 Lawn-Care Season. The PM Job-Slot on Tuesday in Blue-Week is available. The AM and PM Job-Slots on Wednesday and Thursday in Blue-Week are available. Call now to reserve your Job-Slots.

If a property has been cut one week, for example a Red Group Client Property on a day in Red Week, and, for one reason or another, the grass has not grown enough to be cut by the next reserved Job-Slot for that property in Red Week, then it will need to be cut during the Red Week Black Friday or Blue Week Black Friday, usually at a higher height than what may have been initially requested or what may be the most aesthetically pleasing, depending on what day in Red Week the reserved Job-Slot for that property was in, because it will need to be cut on that day in Red Week for order to be maintained and for further scheduling conflicts to be prevented. The same thing will happen if there is rain or rainwater that prevents the grass from being cut. Sometimes White Saturdays become Black Friday on Saturday when there is too much rain.
Fridays during The Lawn-Care Season are Black Fridays.
One-Time Grass-Cuts: These are properties that are scheduled to be cut just one time and will not be cut on a recurring basis.
One-Time Lawn-Care Clients are put into Black Group and are called Black Group Clients.
Black Group Clients can only be scheduled on Black Fridays during The Lawn-Care Season.
Black Group Clients’ Job-Slots are not fully reserved and may be rescheduled without a full day’s notice in order to prioritize Red Group Clients’ and Blue Group Clients‘ overall lawn-care service schedule which benefits the long-term health and aesthetics of their lawns. This is another reason why sometimes White Saturday becomes a Black Friday on Saturday. Black Group Clients’ Job-Slots are only reserved if another Black Group Client is attempting to reserve a Job-Slot on that same Black Friday.
During The Education Season, all Black Group Clients may schedule Job-Slots on any open day and will have their reservation guaranteed but only if the estimated charge is over $160.
White Group Clients are clients who pay for Bush/Hedge Trimming and are put into White Group.
During The Lawn-Care Season, Saturdays are reserved for White Group and are referred to as White Saturdays.
Clients who want to pay for any job not already specified above, are put into Green Group.
Green Group Clients are prioritized last during The Lawn-Care Season but still may reserve any open Job-Slots, depending on availability, and usually White Saturday is the most common to be open.
Lucid Lawn-Care Method
We take on jobs the others can’t or won’t, and we value quality over quantity.
That is why we have limited availability.
We distinguish ourselves from others with our unique approach to Lawn-Care Service because we care about what we do.
As such, our methods are different than others.
We take Job-Shots: Before and after photos of every property that we work on.
Job-Shots will be sent to The Client in order to verify that the job has been completed and has been completed according to Lucid Enterprises LLC’s standards.
Job-Shots are also taken for liability and record-keeping purposes.
Job-Shots help demonstrate the aesthetic progress of the yard from the beginning of The Lawn-Care Season to the end of The Lawn-Care Season.
We normally operate, unless there are special circumstances, using single vehicles without trailers, so we can get to where others cannot go without a problem.
We ask that all moveable obstacles(objects in the yard such as lawn ornaments) as well as sticks, rocks, garbage, broken glass, or anything else be removed and all pet feces be cleaned up before we arrive at the property on the scheduled day of the cut so that our machines and our employees are not injured or made ill by anything that may be on the property.
Unless a special request is made,
All Grass-Cuts include mowing, weed trimming, and clean-up of cut grass from walkways, patios, and driveways.
Mowing: We use push-mowers rather than tractors in order to have the ability to cut yards that a tractor would not be able to, such as steep hills or tight-spaced areas.
Our cuts come out nicer on yards where tractors could be used because push-mowers can make more precise cuts and can create more visible lines, especially on hills and in tight spaced areas.
Push-Mowers also are more versatile than Self-Propelled (Walk-Behind) Mowers because the wheels on Push-Mowers can roll individually at different speeds which makes it possible to apply pressure unevenly while cutting horizontally on inclines without having the wheels cause damage to the yard.
Trimming: We use weed trimmers/whackers/eaters, specifically we use Brush-Cutters which are like a commercial grade weed-trimmer (uses trimmer line and not any bladed attachments), on areas where a push-mower will not be able to cut, such as excessively steep hills, uneven terrain, and around obstacles.
We begin cutting each property by first using our weed trimmers/eaters/whackers to trim down the grass to a height slightly below the desired grass height in areas where our mowers cannot cut and around unmovable obstacles in the cutting area. However, there are occasions where we will have to cut with the mower first.
Trimming helps create space for our mowers to be able to turn around safely in order to make efficient and straight cutting-lines that cause every yard we cut to come out so nicely.
Clean-Up: After the property is trimmed and cut, we then use blowers and or brooms to clean off the driveways, pathways, patios, or anywhere else grass clippings may have fallen.
Grass Clippings will be blown/swept back into the yard unless a suitable place on the property is designated for them to be blown/swept into.
The type of Grass-Cut that is selected will determine how many grass clippings should be expected to remain on the property after the cut has been completed.
We offer various types of Grass-Cuts that can be purchased.
Charge (The monetary price that is charged to The Client)
Additional Fees
Additional Fees are what you as The Client will be charged for besides the charge for the job itself as the price for the job is listed.
- Trip-Out Fee: $2 per mile away(rounded up to the nearest dollar) from Lucid Enterprises LLC’s address, 105 Davis Street Shavertown PA 18708. Trip-Out Fee is charged no matter what.
- Labor by Time(Individual Worker) for jobs without listed prices or defined completion objectives: $20 per hour at Job-Site.
- Haul Away Fee: $1 per garbage bag filled (42 Gallon Contractor Clean-Up Bag) +$2 per mile away from the dump location. Equipment from the vehicle will need to be placed in a safe location on-site during haul away or an additional Trip-Out fee will need to be applied in order to store the equipment at Lucid Enterprises LLC’s address before returning to the Job-Site to begin Haul-Away.).
Estimates
In order to receive an accurate estimate for Grass-Cuts we will need a square footage measurement of the area which is to be cut.
On average, we cut at a rate of 28 square feet per minute.
28 square feet per minute is the value used for your estimated Job-Time.
The Estimated Job-Time is usually longer than how long the job will take because the estimation is made using an overall average cut-speed that ignores differences between properties which will affect the Job-Time.
We use a measuring wheel to find the perimeter of cutting and trimming areas, divide that measurement by 4, and then square the result to find the square footage.
We would still have to trim around the house and driveway.
We will measure a property and provide you with an estimate at the cost of the Trip-Out Fee alone if you are unable to provide us with the property measurements yourself.
Types of Grass-Cuts and How They are Charged (Red-Group, Blue-Group, and Black-Group)
Blow-It Cuts: For this type of Grass-Cut we charge $0.0075 per square foot and put a shoot on our mowers so that the grass clippings blow out and away from the mower as it is being cut. This enables the mower to cut faster but leaves behind the most grass trimmings and makes it so that the cutting-lines are less visible.
Mulch-It Cuts: This is the most common Cut-Type which we charge $0.01 per square foot for. For this Cut-Type, we close the shoot opening on our mowers which prevents the grass clippings from blowing out from underneath the mower while it is making the cut. The grass clippings get cut up into much finer pieces by doing this, almost turning it into mulch, and allowing what remains to help fertilize the soil without creating a mess. To do this correctly, however, we must cut slower to ensure the grass clippings are properly mulched and do not leave behind a mess. When done correctly on a property on which the grass has not grown too high, the cutting-lines come out nicely and the grass clippings are hardly visible. (This is the recommended Cut-Type for most properties but cannot be selected if the grass height is too high as the mower blades will not be able to cut up too much all at once without damaging the machine. If this is the case then a Blow-It Cut must be selected instead of or before an additional Mulch-It Cut is selected, with each cut being charged separately.)
Bag-It Cuts: For this Cut-Type, we charge $0.015 per square foot, and we place baggers on our mowers so that as the grass is cut, the clippings get sucked up into the bag which makes sure that the cutting lines come out as nice as possible and almost no grass clippings are left behind at all. Every time the bag on the mower is filled, we have to turn the mower off completely, remove the bagger, empty it into the barrel or bag, put the bagger back on, restart the mower, and then resume the cut. This is why this Cut-Type is more expensive than the others. Also, once the barrel or bag is full it will need to be dumped at either a location on-site or a Haul-Away Fee will need to be added for each trip to the nearest accessible dumping location and may require garbage bags to be used, which in turn means more additional fees. While more expensive and time-consuming, this Cut-Type is the nicest that we have to offer.
For Fall Clean-Ups the cost for leaf clean up and the grass to be cut is the price of a mulch-it cut+the price of a bag-it cut because the leaves will need to be blown into the yard first, then gone over once to mulch them up so that they can actually get sucked up and bagged when the bagger is then put on for the second cut. The yard is cut twice during fall clean-ups otherwise leaves and debris will remain in the yard.
Bush/Shrub/Hedges Trimming (White-Group)
All prices are based on vertical measurements for bushes/shrubs and multiplied by 2 if the diameter of the measured perimeter of the widest section is over 6 feet and by 4 if over 12 feet.
Includes Clean-Up of trimmings. (Haul-Away Fee separate)
$30 Large Bush/Shrub (Between 6-10 Feet-Tall)
$15 Medium Sized Bush/Shrub (Between 3-5 Feet-Tall)
$5 Small Bush/Shrub (Under 3 Feet-Tall)
Hedges are $1 per cubed foot of hedge.
Includes Clean-Up of trimmings. (Haul-Away Fee separate)
Landscaping (Green-Group)
All landscaping jobs will be estimated on a job-to-job basis and based on the materials needed to be purchased, the equipment needed to be rented, and the scope of what is to be completed.
Tree Removal and Firewood Splitting (Green-Group)
All tree removal jobs are open to negotiation and will vary depending on the size of the tree and the amount of debris/clean-up involved. ONLY ALREADY DOWNED TREES. We will not fall any trees. Sometimes we may be able to remove any shrubs or saplings. We also can split any already cut wood and stack it neatly into piles. Typically, the charge will be the same rate as time alone and will include the Trip-Out Fee.
